See a Bible2School Program in Action
Children in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade who are attending public school have the opportunity to attend a Bible2School program, typically during lunch and recess. Since this happens DURING the school day, it’s especially easy and convenient for the parents. Most importantly, it’s FUN for the children. The children walk or are bused (accompanied by volunteers) to a nearby church or partner location, where our trained volunteers spend about 45 minutes with them.
Our engaging and age-appropriate curriculum is relevant and fun! 2nd graders learn about the Old Testament, 3rd graders learn about the New Testament, and 4th graders learn about Discipleship! Want to see an example of one of our engaging lessons? Click here for a FREE sample lesson.
Each Bible2School Program Consists of 3 Main Elements
The Bible Lesson is led by a Large Group Leader, who engages the children in a Bible story, scripture, and prayer. The leader also asks a “Think About It” question that makes the lesson relevant for the children, such as “How does God give us second chances?” and “Why do you need to forgive others?”
While in Small Group, the children participate in a variety of activities such as a craft, a science experiment, or they dive into deep discussion topics. Each small group consists of approximately 6 children who are with the same Small Group Leader every week. We purposefully keep groups small and focus on creating a safe place for children to ask spiritual questions through these relationships.
Whether led by a volunteer who has a skill of playing the guitar or led by a music video, the children participate in a time of worship where they learn how to praise Jesus through singing, dancing, and hand motions!
