3 Things You Should Say to Your Child Every Morning
Summer is coming to an end, and the new school year is approaching. The simple, slow mornings will soon turn into the early-morning hustle and bustle. As a parent, mornings are typically a mad rush to get everyone — including ourselves — ready for the day. If we’re lucky, everyone has matching shoes on, their backpacks are neatly organized, and a healthy lunch is packed — all done without any disagreements! Phew.
As chaotic as these moments can be, we need to look at them as an opportunity — an opportunity to intentionally encourage our kids and center them on God — and to set them up for a great day. Remember, our family is our first ministry. So, we must slow down and set the pace for our kids as they go out the door every morning.
Why is it so important that we give God-focused encouragement to our children before they leave in the morning?? Our kids are going out into the world — and no matter how hard we try to shield them, they are going to be tested in life situations daily. As we hug and kiss our kids goodbye, we need to intentionally connect with them and encourage them on a deeper level by giving them Biblical truth. Words really do matter, and even the little things we say to our kids can prepare them in big ways for their day.
So, now that you feel inspired to take advantage of these (sometimes chaotic) mornings, it’s time to learn HOW. Join us for this mini-series with 3 practical ways of speaking life and truth into your children before they leave for the day. Next up, The 1st Thing You Should Say to Your Child Every Morning…
