Episode 101: Member Highlight: Meet A Military Mom
Heidi Weidler, a Bible2School Site Director, shares her journey as a military mom. Heidi was not surprised when her son showed interest in enlisting in the military — in fact, many signs pointed to this future career starting in early childhood! Following a 6 month wilderness season of waiting, Heidi describes how God was faithful to her son and completely assured him that he was called to the special forces of the Navy. You’ll be blessed to hear Heidi’s heart on this topic, and encouraged by this story that brings God all the glory.
HEIDI WEIDLER is a wife, mom of 3, and former teacher who enjoys reading, baking, and watching game shows. Whatever season of life: homeschooling, substituting in the public schools, or employed by Bible2School, educating children and pointing them to Christ is a forever passion. The challenges along the way have increased her prayer life and convictions and continue to remind her of this verse: “Teach me to number my days aright so that I may gain a heart of wisdom” Psalm 90:12.

In a world full of busyness and distractions, it can be hard to keep our focus on God. The more you know the Bible and the more you know God, the clearer, safer and sharper your lens is to process the world. This is known as a Biblical Worldview — seeing the world through God’s holy lens, brought into focus by the Bible. This simple and fun optical illusion activity will help guide you through teaching your child how and why we need to keep our focus on God.
