This is the question our guest today, Jodie Berndt, surveyed families on before publishing her first book in 2001. Jodie took the top 20 topics, went to the Word to see what God had to say about them, and shaped the table of contents for her book, Praying the Scriptures for Your Children. When Jodie started praying God’s Word back to Him, she began seeing amazing answers.
Praying scripture for and with children fills them with the truth that they have value and worth in God’s eyes. He loves them for who they are! When the bigger questions come along, they can have that anchor and rootedness to know WHO they are and WHOSE they are in Christ. This will be their greatest defense against the conforming patterns of this world.
